I love helping small business owners because I am one myself. Now, most very small business owners or sole traders don’t have the luxury of a massive budget for advertising or copywriting or marketing. That’s ok. With me, they won’t need one.
A number of years ago, I restructured my business so I could cater for the small business owner. This went against all the advice I was given by every business coach I met. That’s ok. I needed to do what felt right for me. Today, Copy with Cream offers small business, micro business and sole traders a number of unique services that are quite different to what other copywriters offer.

Maybe you feel that your small business needs some really good copywriting, or at least some editing of your existing web content. Maybe you have what you think are some really good ideas but you want a second, unbiased opinion. Maybe you have dozen different ideas but you don’t have the budget to do them all and you want to talk to someone who can help you set priorities. Perhaps you realise that you are so close to your business, because you live and breathe it, it’s impossible for you to take a step back and view it with an objective eye. Because small business owners are different
There is a lot of talk out there about how important small business is to Australia’s economy. There’s also a lot of talk about how to help small business. However, I think nobody can really understand the challenges of small business unless they’re in small business themselves.
I believe the typical small business owner would never walk into an advertising agency or marketing company — they don’t have the budget. Even if they did, the typical small business owner wouldn’t want to let go of creative control of their business. And why should they? They’re passionate about their small business, they’ve probably built it from the ground up or it may have been handed down by the previous generation (I do tend to attract family businesses) and they want to take very good care of it.

I never want to come in and tell you what to do. I believe most small business owners have the answers — but maybe they’re just not asking themselves the right questions. That’s where I come in.
I’m really good at asking the right questions. One of my most important roles is to not only get into the mind of the small business owner themselves, but to understand their ideal customer. Once I do that, I can guide the business owner, help them develop the right strategy if they don’t have one, and help them develop some fabulous content for their website, for their print ads, their brochure, their social media posts or something else.

I can also help them find the right people for their team if they are looking for someone. Whether it’s experts in web design, web development, search engine optimization, video production, photography, branding or something else. In 20 years, I’ve met a lot of people in Adelaide. I know the good, the bad and the ugly. I do work with lots of different people, I do not get kick-backs for recommending a particular web developer or designer — in fact, I usually give you 2 names, because personalities come into it, too. And I want to make sure you get the right fit for you.
