Good signage makes a great first impression

You may have read my blog ‘Signs don’t have to be boring’ about fun signs at Goodwood. Well, this is another sign from that area and a great example of good typography and good design. This physio’s A-frame sign is ultra modern.

It’s purple, with cute little funky figures that give you the impression that this is how you’ll feel after your appointment. The figures very cleverly add to the message without detracting at all from the legibility of the sign. If you’ve ever tried to design a logo, you’ll know that this is extremely hard to do. I tried. At college. While studying graphic design. Which may explain why I’m now a copywriter…
