Vehicle signage

Vehicle signage is one of the most cost-effective ways of getting your business name out there, when you consider how many people will see it. But there are good ways and bad ways to go about it.
The most important place to have signage on your car is…the back! Yet, you’d be very surprised to notice that a lot of people stop at the sides and don’t even bother thinking about their rear end.
If you take a look at taxis, you’ll notice that they’re renting out their prime real estate – the back of the car – and keeping the sides for themselves.
As you can see from the photo, this is a great example of a business name as BIG as possible on the wheel cover. A very good use of space. Very simple, nice clean design. Black and white. CanNOT miss it. The rest of the wording (above, on the glass) is not as easy to see but by that time, you’ve got the message anyway.
If you’re going to get signage done for your car, make sure you do your research. Take note of what you notice, what you think is good design, what you like and what you don’t. Take photos, then take the time to talk to your signwriter. Don’t just leave it to them!
As you can tell from looking around at the vehicles on the road, there’s good signwriting and bad. It’s your business, so take the time to make sure you find the right signwriter for you, someone who will listen to you and work with you to make sure you get good design. Don’t scrimp on this – this is one time you don’t want to DIY…
