Opportunistic advertising

Superman2At about the time the new Superman movie opened, I was walking through the city and happened to spot this in the window of the Pulp Fiction Comics store on Adelaide’s King William Street. I’m not into comics and the only reason this store window caught my eye is because of the Superman comic’s placement, front and  centre. It’s a very simple example of how you can take advantage of something topical and piggy-back on it.

Superman1It’s about finding something relevant, something topical so you can grab people’s attention. Now, a lot of people try to do this but end up doing it really badly. What makes it work well is the link — the relevance — to you and your business. For example, if you’re a hairdresser, and some celebrity has just done something crazy with their hair, you could put up their photo or a comment, online and at your store.

So, if you’re wondering what you could do for your business and you can’t think of anything and you want some help, give me a call on 0412 322 982.
